District CDL Delivery Driver

Responsibilities
- Operate vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
- Transport loads safely and in a timely manner over required routes, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations.
- Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas, following loading crew signals.
- Assist with loading, or load and unload goods and materials, using specialized equipment when warranted; unload empty skids and return all equipment to designated areas.
- Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork; deliver documentation to the shipping office or appropriate staff upon completion of the delivery route.
- Facilitate routine service on trucks, including checking oil, water, gasoline, and air; report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.
- Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime pay after 40 hours. This role is subject to on-call scheduling with additional compensation provided.

Requirements
- Must hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license, appropriate for the weight of the vehicle to be operated.
- Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state department(s) of transportation regulations.
- Must pass DOT physical, as trucks driven are over 10,000 lbs.
- Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff.
- Ability to remain focused in a busy environment.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab for long durations.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to travel frequently.
- CDL drivers may be required to be clean-shaven to meet customer requirements.
This is a safety-sensitive position, and any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a 10-panel drug screen.
