About the Role
This fully remote position is ideally based in the Philadelphia area, with responsibility for the New York City metropolitan area and Central New Jersey markets. The District/Account Manager will grow the robotic automation business in the assigned territory by selling stand-alone units and systems directly to end users and managing FANUC America Integration partners.
Responsibilities
- Manage all activities within specified accounts, including direct selling efforts to plants and engineering offices, to meet or exceed yearly targets in units, revenue, and gross profit.
- Develop and implement strategic selling plans for accounts; identify complex sales situations and manage company resources to secure business.
- Manage and expand the FANUC America integrator (ASI) network throughout the assigned territory to increase sales to end users.
- Develop relationships with key personnel at all levels within accounts and establish FANUC America as a sustaining resource.
- Initiate and establish direction and content of quotations, including scope of work, pricing, and proposal review; negotiate to maximize profitability.
- Interface with FANUC America resources and customers on sold projects to ensure clear understanding of deliverables and smooth project execution.
- Participate in kickoff and status meetings to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Solicit customer feedback on product operation and new requirements to guide product improvements and increase market share.
- Manage company assets through accurate monthly forecasting and support collection of overdue payments.
- Travel extensively, including overnight travel, to customer sites for presentations, proposal reviews, and pricing negotiations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with customer interface or selling, preferably in a capital equipment environment.
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing or engineering experience.
- Technical competency in automation applications from actual plant experience or formal education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven selling and negotiating skills.
- Strong presentation skills utilizing PowerPoint, with the ability to sell top-down through client organizations.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $107,000 - $180,000 per year, including bonuses and profit sharing. The compensation package will be determined by factors such as geographic location, educational attainment, and level of experience.
