About the role
This position serves as District Lead and Healthy Home Coordinator for the assigned health district. Local travel is required.
Responsibilities
- Conducting case reviews, inspections and risk assessments
- Writing reports, providing guidance and education to families and the medical community
- Cooking outreach to a variety of audiences, conducting enforcement activities and serving as topic expert for the district in childhood lead poisoning
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, including completion of 27 semester or 40 quarter hours in laboratory sciences
- One (1) year of experience at the lower level PH Envir Compl Specialist 1 (RCP120) or equivalent position
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Public Health or Environmental Health/Science preferred
- Certified Georgia Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor preferred
- Certified Healthy Homes Specialist preferred
