Distribution Technician

The Distribution Technician position is responsible for receiving, stocking, inventorying, and delivering supplies from General Stores to Tidelands Health facilities.

Responsibilities

• Receive and stock supplies and equipment shipped to the Distribution Center
• Handle routine and STAT supply and equipment requests and distribute to designated areas
• Maintain proper inventory control of General Stores
• Accurately record every supply transaction, including verbal (call‑ins) or walk‑in orders, handwritten or online requisitions
• Utilize, load, and unload distribution vehicles appropriately
• Perform basic maintenance checks (tire air pressure, oil levels, etc.) and take vehicles to shop for maintenance as required and on schedule
• Obtain and retain DOT certification and hospital insurance credibility

Requirements

• High School Diploma (preferred)
• Warehouse or distribution experience (preferred)
• Satisfactory references from present and/or previous employers
• Ability to perform manual labor

• Basic personal computer familiarity
• Communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills
• Ability to safely drive a 24‑foot box truck per CDL guidelines
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record per hospital driver policy
• Medium‑heavy physical demand
