About the role
The Siemens Electrification & Automation’s Utility Systems & Solutions segment is seeking a Distribution Systems Engineer for our strategic accounts in the western region. The area of responsibility focuses on California.
Responsibilities
- Supporting and driving growth of the overhead distribution portfolio
- Providing post sales assistance through virtual support, on-site support and/or troubleshooting for the existing install base
- Assisting in product and application training
- Relaying voice of customer feedback to Siemens R&D team
- Collaborating with product management
- Handling roadmap planning and integration for key accounts
- Traveling between domestic utility locations and/or installation sites as needed
Requirements
- Experience with electrical distribution systems including reclosing devices, switching devices, protective relaying and control schemes
- 5 to 7 years of distribution engineering, technician, or operations experience
- Ability to troubleshoot and become a subject matter expert on the Siemens overhead distribution portfolio
- Ability to effectively conduct product training
- Experience working with clients at engineering and operations level
- Experience collecting and analyzing data to support product improvements
- Highly self-motivated, a self starter, and can effectively work in an organizational matrix environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Willingness to travel when needed, with the understanding this is a remote position
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of distribution engineering, technician, or operations experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus
Pay
The pay range for this position is $100,603 - $172,462 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
Schedule
This is a remote role that will cover most of California. We are looking for someone who resides in Fresno, San Francisco, or Sacramento (or willing to relocate to that area).
