Distribution Supervisor

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate activities and efficiencies of employees in a manufacturing and distribution work environment for the assembly and distribution of set-top boxes
- Review productivity of employees daily for accuracy and compliance with established procedures, and determine workload for team members
- Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow
- Study and standardize procedures to improve the efficiency of our operators
- Perform root cause analysis on systemic and physical transactional issues and work with the appropriate teams to find resolutions
- Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to minimize process and inventory variances and reduce waste
- Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems
- Conduct daily and weekly meetings with team members
- Capable of performing all job duties of direct reports at a high level of proficiency
- Directly responsible for non-exempt staff, and responsible for the performance of subordinates
- Provide leadership to a manufacturing team and promote employee engagement
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Engineering or a quantitative field
- 1-3 years of experience managing inventory in a Manufacturing or Distribution environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex data clearly and concisely to executives
- Experience translating data to actionable insights required
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, 5-S and KanBan
- ERP and WMS experience
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus, read and interpret documents and instructions; frequent identification of letters, numbers, and symbols in a technology environment. The employee must have the ability to use a keyboard and equipment typically found in a manufacturing/warehouse work setting. Individuals must have the ability to lift 45 lbs. and stand for long periods of time and the ability to operate a pallet jack loaded with receivers.
Work Environment
This position works in/near moving mechanical parts and may be in a non-temperature controlled work environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Manufacturing/warehouse environment.
