About the role
Dominion Energy is seeking engineers to join our team. This role offers a hybrid 3-2 work schedule to balance flexibility and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with vendors and supply chain team to set specifications, source, and test new equipment and automation for the distribution system.
- Perform field work and regular lab work when testing and evaluating materials.
- Develop or revise specifications for underground cable accessories and associated connectors to ensure compliance with necessary requirements.
- Conduct root cause analysis on failed equipment and collaborate with vendors to make necessary modifications.
- Participate in utility group meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
Requirements
- Engineer: 2+ years of related experience
- Sr Engineer: 5+ years of related experience
- Staff Engineer: 8+ years of experience
Qualifications
- Knowledge and application of engineering theories and principles
- Ability to perform engineering calculations using applicable software programs
- Planning, organizational, and project management skills
- Effective decision-making and communication skills
- Ability to interpret codes, regulations, and practices
- Experience in electrical utility or material fields
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Ability to work in confined spaces, handle heavy equipment, and operate various tools
Skills
- Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems
- Understanding of configuration management
- Leadership and analytical skills
Benefits
- Competitive salary range: Engineer: $81,900.00 - $106,400.00, Sr Engineer: $90,900 - $118,100, Staff Engineer: $102,300 - $132,800

Pay
Base salaries for the positions range from $81,900.00 to $132,800.00 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The work schedule is a hybrid model with three days in the office and two days of teleworking.
