Distribution Section Manager

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for operations of production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support
• Function as Project Manager and take responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilities
• Take administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sections
• Be involved in marketing planning, proposals and interviews
• Be directly involved with industrial and public clients in marketing, project production and related issues
• See that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management system
• Implement, monitor and support company policy
• Select, train, develop and manage technical personnel
• Manage and develop multidiscipline teams
• Work cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production efforts
• Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred, but other degrees considered along with background and experience)
• Professional Engineering (PE) License
• 4+ years of distribution design experience including planning studies, coordination studies, wiring sizing, and a general understanding of constructability
• 10+ years of overall experience including prior project management and staff management experience
• Excellent client management skills, marketing, and business development skills in addition to contacts/relationships with power delivery clients
• Previous experience managing staff, clients, contracts, and hiring staff for an engineering consulting firm
• Self-driven and motivated individual who can network, generate new work, recruit, and grow a team
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Ability to handle multiple assignments
• Good leadership and organizational skills
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture

Preferred qualifications

• License/certification (PMP or similar)
• Experience with industry software including: CYMCAP, ETAP, EasyPower, Polywater Pull Planner, PLS-CADD, Spida Calc, Pole Foreman, etc.

• Spokane, WA: $113,117 - $161,595
• Bellevue/Seattle, WA: $142,884 - $204,120
