About the role
The Distribution Branch Manager oversees daily warehouse operations, leads a team of distribution specialists, and ensures efficient, accurate, and safe handling of materials. This role is crucial for optimizing inventory flow, improving processes, and maintaining high customer satisfaction standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the day-to-day operations of the distribution branch
- Foster and maintain a safe, compliant work environment
- Monitor and achieve key performance metrics, including shipping accuracy, timeliness, and error reduction
- Evaluate staffing levels and recommend adjustments based on operational needs
- Oversee inventory flow and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Train, coach, and develop team members to enhance skills and performance
- Manage employee productivity, performance, and engagement
- Address operational challenges and resolve issues efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service via phone, in-person interactions, and order processing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Logistics and Supply Chain Management or equivalent required
- 3–5 years of experience in warehouse or distribution management
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing or supervising teams
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and problem-solving capability
- Spanish language proficiency preferred
Qualifications
