Distribution Engineer

About the role

The Electrical Engineer will be working on real-world power systems that keep communities running. They will collaborate with eight member distribution cooperatives, helping design and support the systems that deliver electricity. The role involves a mix of long-range planning, distribution line design, and solving hands-on technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with member distribution cooperatives to design and support power delivery systems.
• Participate in long-range planning and distribution line design projects.
• Solve hands-on technical challenges related to power systems.
• Learn and utilize a variety of engineering tools and technologies such as load flow analysis, sectionalizing studies, GIS platforms, and system modeling software.

Requirements

• Getting ready to graduate with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Eagerness to work on real-world power systems.
• Comfortable learning new tools and enjoying problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with load flow analysis, sectionalizing studies, GIS platforms, and system modeling software preferred.
