Distribution Design Engineer

Summary We are seeking Distribution Engineers to develop construction work packages for electric distribution systems across overhead, underground, and URD environments. Responsibilities include designing and developing work packages using GIS, CAD, WMS, and other systems, performing engineering calculations such as pole analysis, cable pulling, and fault currents, and managing projects related to overloaded transformers, joint use, and inspections. Additional duties involve preparing forestry trimming requests, facilitating permits and Right-of-Way acquisition, developing BOMs, estimating costs, and customer advocacy activities like easements and CIAC calculations. Candidates should have a BS degree with utility experience preferred, and knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, Pole Loading software, NESC standards, and distribution design projects. Strong communication skills are essential.
