Distribution Center Will Call Orders Associate

Responsibilities

• Pulls will-call orders for jobbers accurately and completely, placing items into appropriate tubs.
• Pulls all special orders with precision.
• Practices asset security and loss prevention controls to minimize inventory shrinkage.
• Checks all orders for accuracy.
• Reports overage, shortage, or damaged merchandise.
• Shares responsibility for maintenance and cleanliness of the work area.
• Completes all required job prerequisite training.
• Demonstrates ability to perform the required duties of the job.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
• 6 months of prior work experience.
• Working knowledge of the entire stockroom.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and remain calm under pressure.
• Strong communication skills with customers, supervisors, and other Will Call employees.
• Self-motivation, personal drive, and initiative to accomplish company goals.
• Willingness and ability to learn.
• Analytical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
• Ability to pass a drug screen test and routine background inquiry.
• Strong customer relationship skills.
• Ability to operate a RADS gun.
• Visual capability to recognize and distinguish letters and numbers.
• Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively.
• Capability to stand and walk for the entire assigned work shift.
• Capable of lifting and moving parts and boxes up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to repeatedly bend or stoop to floor-level shelves and reach upper shelves using a stool or ladder.
• Ability to move heavy equipment (e.g., engine blocks, core barrels) using moving aids such as hand trucks, barrel dollies, and hydraulic lifts.

Physical Demands / Working Environment

Position operates in a warehouse setting with continuous exposure to industrial noise (e.g., forklifts, conveyors, machinery, and loading activities), bright overhead lighting, and varying temperatures due to limited climate control. Employees regularly work around moving equipment and mechanical operations and must remain alert to audible and visual safety signals in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

Starting hourly rate of $21.50.
