About The Role Morris & Dickson is seeking a motivated and experienced Distribution Center Supervisor to lead our receiving operations on 3rd shift. In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing daily receiving activities, driving efficiency, and ensuring the safe and accurate flow of products into our facility. You’ll manage and coach team leads and associates while maintaining compliance, quality standards, inventory accuracy, and productivity goals. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll not only direct the work but also jump in as needed to keep receiving operations running smoothly. What You'll Do Supervise and support third shift receiving operations.Oversee the receiving process, including the accurate and timely receipt, inspection, and movement of incoming products.Monitor receiving workflow to ensure products are processed efficiently and inventory is accurately received.Lead, train, and develop associates and team leads to achieve performance goals.Monitor production and quality control metrics; identify issues and implement solutions.Organize workflows, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate inventory management.Enforce safety and compliance standards throughout the shift.Communicate policies, procedures, and updates between employees and management.Perform quality checks and assist with pick, pack, and ship operations as needed.Drive continuous improvement to optimize receiving workflow and increase efficiency. What You’ll Need To Succeed High school diploma or equivalent.5+ years of warehouse supervision experience, including experience overseeing receiving operations.Previous experience in a receiving, distribution, or warehouse environment is required.Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn warehouse management systems.Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and time management skills.Effective communicator, able to present and explain information clearly.Decisive and proactive in resolving challenges. Preferred Qualifications Some college coursework or a degree preferred.Forklift and turret truck/stock picker experience. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Comfortable being on your feet 90% of the shift (walking, standing, bending, lifting).Flexible availability for days, nights, weekends, or holidays if required.
