About the role

The Distribution Center Supervisor serves as a front-line supervisor and maintains daily production flow for outbound operations through motivating and managing DC Associates on the outbound team. In this role, the DC Supervisor will have a direct impact on the continuous improvement process to improve accuracy, increase efficiency, and reduce costs. This position will be working on the DC front-line operations (picking/checking orders) approximately 40 – 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily production flow for outbound operations through motivating and managing DC Associates on the outbound team.
  • Have a direct impact on the continuous improvement process to improve accuracy, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Work on the DC front-line operations (picking/checking orders) approximately 40 – 50% of the time.
  • DC LEADERSHIP: DC metrics are met, including DC lines filled per hour above 22, order accuracy at 99.6% of lines shipped.
  • Exceptional Client Experience: Go above and beyond to provide an Exceptional Client Experience.
  • Problem Solving: View problems as exciting challenges and resolve them for the benefit of all stakeholders involved.
  • Strategy: Have a clearly defined and well-communicated strategy for the program/product line/division you are responsible for, which you execute to drive overall success.
  • Team Management: Be an exceptional coach, leader, and mentor for your associates.

Requirements

  • 3 years of distribution experience.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • A valid driver’s license and ability to travel by car and plane to meetings and events.
  • Certified (at time of hire or within 3 months of hire) to operate forklift, reach truck, stock picker, WAV picker, pallet jack, and other material handling equipment.
  • Successfully clear a background check through applicable pharmaceutical boards and pass a designated representative certification course as soon as eligible and maintain these clearances on an ongoing basis.
  • Ace (Associate) degree in Business, Logistics, or closely related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical environment (to be eligible for the pharmaceutical board certification).

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Knowledge of distribution center operations and procedures.
  • Experience with material handling equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Pay

Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

Schedule

  • Monday and Friday: Start time at 10am until completion of duties.
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: Start time at 9:15am until completion of duties.
