Distribution Center Associate
About the role
The Warehouse Associate supports the daily functions of the RaceTrac warehouse, ensuring quality orders are processed and shipped to designated locations in a timely fashion. This position requires working until end-of-shift until all product is loaded onto trucks safely and efficiently. Working weekends and holidays is required. The role involves working in areas with temperature and humidity variations, including Dry, Cooler, and Freezer environments (up to -8°).
Responsibilities
- Use WMS unit technology to pick product within various warehouse environments (Dry, Cooler, and Freezer up to -8°) for store orders.
- Stack product on pallets in accordance with proper selecting procedures.
- Operate an electric pallet jack and/or forklift to transport product.
- Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including pallet jacks, WMS unit technology, and personal protective equipment.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and safely operate all mechanical equipment.
- Code date product and clean the warehouse and associated equipment.
- Stage product in designated locations for shipping purposes.
- Load product from designated locations onto delivery trucks.
- Label totes with routing information and shrink-wrap product onto pallets.
- Bale cardboard and dispose of garbage.
- Sort totes and trays.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including food and warehouse safety, and report any unsafe conditions to management.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Frequently reach up to 72 inches, and repeatedly bend, stand, and reach while operating equipment.
- Ability to work in cold environments up to -8° for an entire shift.
- Ability to work rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible schedule, including varying start/finish times, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of professional experience preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations is a plus.
