About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team. In this role, you will primarily operate production equipment such as a Rim Drive or Re-spooler to cut wire to predetermined lengths. You may also perform other standard order fulfillment tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including forklifts and order pickers, for pulling and putting away stock, order processing, loading, and unloading trailers.
  • Inspect inbound stock for quality, count, and type; verify purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading for accuracy; process stock through computer entry and prepare inventory for put-away.
  • Select shipping methods based on best practices to meet company and customer expectations; prepare orders for LTL and small parcel shipments; verify shipments for proper packing and accuracy.
  • Operate value-added wire machinery, including stripe/dye machines, wire strippers, twisters, and lashing equipment for order fulfillment.
  • Maintain general housekeeping and equipment maintenance; follow safety standards, complete required equipment checklists, and adhere to 5S Standards in the work area.

Requirements

  • Authorization to work in the United States, minimum age of 18, and a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math skills and a high-energy, dependable teamwork attitude with effective communication skills.
  • Willingness to occasionally work overtime or weekends for additional compensation.
  • Ability to bend, twist, lift up to 50 lbs., and stand for up to 8 hours a day.
  • Work is performed in a distribution center environment with fluctuating temperatures.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
