About the Role

Reporting to the Distribution Center Supervisor, the Distribution Center Associate is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing products to maintain overall efficiency and operation of the Distribution Center. Daily tasks vary by location but focus on ensuring all stock is accounted for, processed, and organized to meet company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Distribution Center activities, including receipt, inventory placement, order selection, and shipment of stock
  • Pick and pack orders accurately and promptly
  • Receive and restock inventory in designated storage areas
  • Load and unload trucks according to established procedures
  • Operate forklifts, hand trucks, or other equipment
  • Accurately identify and count inventory in assigned areas
  • Maintain quality and quantity performance and production standards
  • Participate in ongoing general housekeeping of the Distribution Center
  • Check assigned equipment for proper operation and report issues to supervision
  • Follow safe work habits and established safety procedures
  • Participate in safety initiatives as assigned
  • Attend meetings and training sessions
  • Perform other Distribution Center tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Entry-level work experience
  • Ability to use standard office equipment, including computerized bar code scanners, printers, and warehouse tools
  • Basic math and reasoning skills
  • Excellent work ethic, verbal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment under supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Physical ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, pull, and push for an entire work shift
  • Ability to climb stair/step ladders up to 16 steps, bend, stoop, crouch, and kneel
  • Ability to be on your feet for 8 hours a day

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience picking orders with an RF scanner
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, hand trucks, and cranes

Work Environment

The role is performed in a distribution center environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels typical of such settings.
