Distribution Associate

About the role

Inventory Management and Distribution (IMD) Associates communicate daily with partner hospitals regarding blood product inventory and patient needs. Associates document orders and prepare shipments of life-saving blood products for delivery to hospital clients as well as emergency and restocking deliveries to other ImpactLife locations.

Schedule

Full-time status working between 30 to 39 hours per week, 4 to 5 days per week, 2 pm to 10 pm with every other weekend rotation. Requires training on alternative shifts for 6 to 8 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Fill routine and emergency orders while following appropriate procedures ensuring accurate order entry and fulfillment
• Provide excellent customer service to clients
• Maintain positive and professional communications
• Assist hospital personnel with inquiries
• Track and rotate inventory of blood products
• Investigate and resolve customer concerns

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• REAL ID
• Ability to operate Blood Center vehicles
• Ability to stand, sit, and maintain regular and recurring physical exertion such as reaching, bending, and lifting for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Pre-employment background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle report required

Qualifications

• Experience in blood or pharmaceutical inventory management, hospital customer relations, or logistics preferred
• Outstanding interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of customers and staff (paid and volunteer)
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
• Working knowledge of computers
