Distribution Associate AM $20 hourly

About the role

As a Distribution Warehouse Associate at Raymour & Flanigan, you will play a key role in our warehouse operations, ensuring efficient handling and movement of furniture and related products.

Responsibilities

• Unload case goods, bedding, and/or upholstered furniture using a two-wheel hand cart and assist with a second person when needed.
• Palletize and box product as necessary.
• Operate mobile lift equipment to bin product and place incoming items into warehouse racks.
• Retrieve product from aisle racks based on assigned load sheets after clearance by scanner, and load trailers.
• Maintain housekeeping standards by picking up breakage, miscellaneous wood, plastic, and other debris.
• Inspect product for damage and ensure no damaged items are loaded for customer shipment.
• Interact professionally with coworkers and respond to their requests.
• Meet established product rates and accuracy standards.
• Perform additional functions as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
• Safely operate all required equipment.
• Excellent listening skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Qualifications

• Must be able to move extremities and spine through a functional range of motion to safely maneuver product from floor to overhead.
• Ability to work in awkward postures occasionally.
• Sufficient strength in the trunk and extremities to perform tasks in multiple positions, from floor to overhead.
• Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction while handling materials.
• Capability to seize, hold, and grasp items typical of this job throughout the work period.
• Ability to pinch and work primarily with fingers throughout the workday.
• Demonstrated capacity to lift, carry, push, and pull.
• Excellent balance to maintain equilibrium in all positions.
• Meets minimal physical demands consistent with a classification of Very-HEAVY as defined by the United States Department of Labor.

Work Environment

• Exposure to slip and trip hazards, including pallets on the floor and wet weather conditions.
• Work in varying temperatures, including cold/hot conditions on the loading dock and in unheated trailers.
• Warehouse is mechanically heated but not cooled.
• Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): steel-toe shoes and fall protection harness.

Schedule

Shift: 4:00 AM – 12:30 PM
