Job Summary

Responsible for 3 of the following areas: Picking (carousel, automatic dispense machine (ADM), pick to light (PTL), voice picking, list picking via RF scanners), Packing (small order, multi tote, advanced shipment notice (ASN)), Problem resolve and Carrier Sorter.

With time in position employee must demonstrate proficiency in these areas. Works under close supervision.

Responsibilities

  • I. Within established guidelines, picks and packs customer, distributor, and contract orders via courier requested for shipment.
  • II. Incumbents will utilize material handling equipment as primary means of fulfilling orders such as Carousel, ADM, PTL, Voice Picking, List Picking via RF Scanners, Paper Picking, Manual Picking, Man-ups, and Fork trucks.

General Job Requirements

  • Works scheduled holidays in order to maintain service levels for customers.
  • Works scheduled hours and is ready to work at scheduled start times, notifies Supervisor prior to absence or tardiness in accordance with company policy.
  • Immediately informs Coordinator/Supervisor/Manager of safety, sanitation, and equipment malfunctions and concerns regarding quality issues.
  • Exhibits good communication skills – verbal, written, and comprehension of the English language.
  • Adhered to Standard Operating Procedures and Regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Forklift and Man-up License
  • Kewill, BAAN, Red\Prairie Warehouse Management Systems
  • Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
  • FedEx and UPS Software Knowledge
  • Wedge/radio frequency (RF) scanners, voice headsets, shrink sealer, heat tunnel, tape gun, utility knife, ladders, step stools, zebra printers, tray former, and various packing components
  • Forklifts, Man-ups

Work Environment

Normal Warehouse Conditions. Experience

  • Ability to perform basic mathematic and problem-solving skills within a team based environment.
  • PC Skills/ knowledge/ experience or equivalent training required.

Education

High school diploma or GED required.

Compensation

This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. The starting base pay for this role is $19.00/hr. and may include cost of living adjustments.
