Display Coordinator/Office Assistant
Havertys Furniture is opening a new store in Pittsburgh on October 30, 2026. We’re seeking a passionate Display Coordinator to help our customers bring their spaces to life. The successful candidate will start in early October 2026.
About the role
As a Display Coordinator/Office Assistant, you’ll maintain display standards of the showroom in accordance with Corporate Display Standards, process customer sales, handle payment transactions, answer phones, and schedule deliveries. Responsibilities
- Arrange and present merchandise on the showroom floor based on the Best Seller Report and Display Plan.
- Assist sales consultants with customers in the selection of furniture and/or accessories; may provide in-home design services.
- Coordinate and display accessories and accent pieces based on Corporate Display Standards.
- Complete the Display Coordinator Weekly Checklist and review it with the Display Manager and/or General Manager.
- Tag accessories according to Corporate Display Standards.
- Track accessories sales using the Best Seller Report.
- Mark down, appropriately display, and move out accessories that are not selling as indicated by the Best Seller Report.
- Provide administrative and/or housekeeping support as needed.
- Balance the cash fund every morning and evening.
- Complete daily opening and closing procedure checklists.
- Prepare and reconcile bank deposits.
- Accurately process customer sales and payments.
- Maintain an organized and secure office environment.
- Answer incoming calls, distribute messages, and manage store voicemail.
- Handle customer complaints and follow up on service tickets.
- Review outstanding customer transactions.
- Verify and schedule deliveries to ensure they are ready to be routed.
- Ensure purchase orders are present for out-of-stock products.
- Contact customers when products are available for pickup.
- File and prepare daily paperwork.
Requirements
- A minimum of six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
- 2+ years of retail display experience is desired.
- Preferred: Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent educational knowledge.
- 1-3 years of cash handling experience (e.g., banking, customer service, data entry, office administration, medical records) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- General computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and O365 preferred.
- Strong math, communication, and customer service skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask.
- Able to follow oral and written instructions and work independently with discretion.
Physical Demands
- Must successfully complete a physical assessment to be considered for the position.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally required to sit.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include color vision.

Pay
Starting between $16 - $20 per hour, based on experience.
