Dispensing Pharmacist - Long Term Care - Full Time
About the role
We are seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our team at Omnicare. This role will support the continued operations of Omnicare as an independent organization following the sale of Omnicare by CVS Health. The pharmacist will provide routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems.
Responsibilities
- Ensure medications dispensed are clinically appropriate
- Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy
- Provide accurate and timely drug information to providers and customer facilities
- Check for completeness and precision of all new and refill labels and orders
- Check for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling
- Prepare and/or provide supervision of sterile IV drug products or solutions, as required
- Maintain a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs
- Be knowledgeable of DEA and state law with regards to controlled drug dispensing
- Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed by the business
- Follow all applicable state and government regulations including HIPAA
- Other duties as assigned (these vary by location)
Requirements
- Must be a licensed pharmacist in the state of Pennsylvania, active and in good standing
- IV experience preferred
- Long Term Care Experience preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy
Skills
The most successful pharmacists demonstrate excellent customer service skills, as well as the ability to prioritize the workflow.

This is a full-time position. Schedule will be Monday-Friday variable shifts, based on the needs of the business spanning day and evening shifts. The weekend rotation is every third/fourth. There is no on-call requirement.
Pay
The typical pay range for this role is $55.53 - $93.08 per hour or $93.08 - $174.00 per week. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
