About the role
Maintain a continuous production/processing operation. Follow documented production/process specifications and instructions. Monitor quality guidelines to ensure adherence to specifications. Perform all work in accordance with established safety and quality procedures.
Responsibilities
- Meet the daily production schedule.
- Perform minor operation and changeover procedures; assist maintenance on major changeovers.
- Verify availability of required components, sub-assemblies, and supplies at the work station.
- Retrieve required components for production orders from staging area, back flush, or Kanban.
- Reconcile and return remaining components to the locator after production runs.
- Maintain line and equipment within housekeeping and cleanliness guidelines.
- Maintain operating records such as machine logs, checklists, and other company records for auditing purposes.
- Start and stop machines (utilizing emergency E-stop) and comply with lock-out/tag-out procedures; alert maintenance of any malfunction.
- Assist with changeovers and general upkeep of line equipment, including adjusting and operating glue and tape machines, counting, component reconciliation, printer set-up and basic operation (Fox Jet, Laser Coder, Video Jet), and boxing surplus components.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and report abnormalities to the Production Leader/Supervisor and Maintenance.
- Make minor adjustments to equipment within written work instructions (SOP and WIS).
- Adhere to standard operating procedures, cGMP, safety, and housekeeping requirements.
- Train others as assigned.
- Work on production lines as needed and perform all manual functions.
- Work well both in a team and individually.
Requirements
- Hand/eye coordination to perform all tasks of the position.
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
- Physical agility to perform all tasks of the position.
- Active learning: ability to work with new materials or information to grasp implications.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Skill in the care and use of hand tools and any other necessary equipment.
- Reading comprehension: ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents such as machine guides, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Ability to find information and identify essential information using basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail; ability to identify and verify components by number and physical attributes.
- Strong safety knowledge of handling machinery; satisfactory overall safety record.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Compliance with all cGMP regulations, including personal hygiene, dress code, and PPE.
Pay
Starting pay rate: $18.00 per hour. All GOJO team members are bonus eligible.
