Position Summary
Responsible for set up/break down, cleaning, monitoring, and recording the operation of assigned machinery/equipment. Additional duties include following production processes, learning and operating machinery, performing in-process checks, and adhering to safety and quality standards.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
- Learn and operate selected machinery and equipment within provided training and manuals
- Tear down and reassemble machinery/equipment as trained
- Complete validation and produce high-quality products
- Collaborate with quality control for in-process checks
- Plan for efficient time utilization
- Adhere to corporate policies and procedures, including safety, cGMPs, GDP, and good housekeeping practices
- Decrease product variability through proper equipment preparation
- Conduct product testing expeditiously without compromising quality
- Maintain neat, concise, and accurate records of all associated documentation
- Accurately measure and dispense raw materials according to formulation requirements
- Operate blending equipment to mix ingredients and achieve specified product characteristics
- Monitor and adjust blending processes to ensure consistency and quality
- Perform equipment checks, cleaning, and maintenance to uphold operational efficiency
- Perform other job duties as assigned

- Average noise levels due to production activities

Requirements
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 6 months working in a food manufacturing environment or a related field (preferred)
- Familiarity with basic tools and hardware
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate in English via speaking, writing, and reading
- Understanding of current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), and ability to maintain high quality workmanship
- Proficiency in using computers for data entry and labor reporting
- Willingness to work overtime or on weekends, as needed
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Basic familiarity with computerized systems and basic software applications
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, balancing, and reaching for extended periods
- Regular lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling up to 300 lbs
- Ability to operate a pallet jack (manual and/or electric)
