Dispense/Blend Operator

Position Summary

Responsible for set up/break down, cleaning, monitoring, and recording the operation of assigned machinery/equipment. Additional duties include following production processes, learning and operating machinery, performing in-process checks, and adhering to safety and quality standards.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Learn and operate selected machinery and equipment within provided training and manuals
  • Tear down and reassemble machinery/equipment as trained
  • Complete validation and produce high-quality products
  • Collaborate with quality control for in-process checks
  • Plan for efficient time utilization
  • Adhere to corporate policies and procedures, including safety, cGMPs, GDP, and good housekeeping practices
  • Decrease product variability through proper equipment preparation
  • Conduct product testing expeditiously without compromising quality
  • Maintain neat, concise, and accurate records of all associated documentation
  • Accurately measure and dispense raw materials according to formulation requirements
  • Operate blending equipment to mix ingredients and achieve specified product characteristics
  • Monitor and adjust blending processes to ensure consistency and quality
  • Perform equipment checks, cleaning, and maintenance to uphold operational efficiency
  • Perform other job duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 6 months working in a food manufacturing environment or a related field (preferred)
  • Familiarity with basic tools and hardware
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate in English via speaking, writing, and reading
  • Understanding of current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), and ability to maintain high quality workmanship
  • Proficiency in using computers for data entry and labor reporting
  • Willingness to work overtime or on weekends, as needed
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Basic familiarity with computerized systems and basic software applications
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, balancing, and reaching for extended periods
  • Regular lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling up to 300 lbs
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack (manual and/or electric)
