About the role
As a Dispensary Lead, you hold a central position in the dispensary’s operations. Your role encompasses various responsibilities aimed at ensuring a positive and efficient experience for medical cannabis patients and adult-use customers. You will serve as a key point of contact, offering assistance, answering queries, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Create an environment of “Patients First” focusing on excellent patient interaction
- Recognize and appropriately respond to the patients with ease and compassion
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with patient information and interactions
- Multi-task, think critically and work quickly to resolve problems as they arise
- Create and execute patient orders based on physician recommendations and accurately deduct the amount from the Office of Medical Marijuana Use Registry (OMMUR)
- Keep current with company policies and procedures
- Responsible for either opening or closing of dispensary (key holder)
- Balance cash and product inventory as part of daily closing procedure
- Observe and participate in patient services during consultation and sale
- Maintain accountability of all team members, in relation to specific job description
- Other duties as assigned by Manager
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Recent and relevant hospitality and/or retail experience required
- Must have reliable transportation
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- Strong customer service skills
- A positive and professional attitude
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies and systems
- Ganjier or Green Flower Certificate preferred
- Experience in a retail environment managing a team
- Knowledge of local and state laws and regulations pertaining to medical marijuana, a plus
- Experience working with Excel, POS, and inventory management control systems
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Must be 21 years of age or older
Qualifications
- Experience in hospitality service and/or high-volume retail environment
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
- 1 – 3 years in a retail environment managing a team
