About the role

Reporting to the Management team, our Sales Associates understand that Retail is a billboard for the brand. They take pride in being professional, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable brand ambassadors inside and outside the store to ensure the Company’s success within the recreational cannabis landscape. Sales Associates are curious, thoughtful, and sales-oriented, imparting cannabis wisdom and creating positive customer relationships to build a loyal customer base.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a team player and contribute to a positive working environment
  • Exceed expectations by working to meet the Company’s mission: to provide the ultimate one-stop shop cannabis experience through exceptional customer service and diversified products
  • Promote an environment and culture focused on positive and healthy interactions that align with the Company’s core values
  • Advise customers on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains
  • Demonstrate an elevated level of cannabis knowledge and curate experiences that go beyond expectations
  • Create intentional experiences for customers by building authentic relationships and exceeding expectations through exceptional service
  • Drive customer visit goals and increase the number of returning customers; successfully achieve sales goals and business metrics
  • Pick and pack orders
  • Accurately handle cash transactions by operating the point-of-sale system and maintaining a precise register
  • Seek opportunities to contribute to and improve business results daily
  • Adhere to all company training, operational standards, and procedures
  • Stay knowledgeable around company communication, rollouts, directives, and procedures
  • Abide by all company policies and programs
  • Adhere to all legislative requirements of cannabis retailers, including federal, state, and DCC laws and regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • High school diploma
  • Hiring preference given to candidates with open availability (ability to work all required hours without restrictions, including days, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays)
  • All employees must be able to work 2 weekend days (Friday–Sunday), though management reserves the right to assign days depending on workforce needs

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand and remain on feet for the duration of a scheduled shift—at least 4 hours per shift for part-time roles and up to 8 hours per shift for full-time roles
  • Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and twist
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to handle and count currency and operate a POS system

Pay

$19.50/hour + tips (part-time role)
