Dispensary Sales Associate

About the role

Reporting to the Management team, our Sales Associates understand that Retail is a billboard for the brand. They take pride in being a professional, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable brand ambassador inside and outside the store to ensure the Company’s success within the recreational cannabis landscape. Our Sales Associates are curious, thoughtful, and sales-oriented people who impart cannabis wisdom and create positive customer relationships to build a loyal customer base.

Job Functions

• Work as a team player and contribute to a positive working environment
• Exceed expectations by working to meet the Company’s mission: To provide the ultimate one stop shop cannabis experience by offering exceptional customer service and diversified products. We strive to build long-term customer loyalty
• Promote an environment and culture that is focused on positive and healthy interactions that align with the Company’s core values
• Advise customers on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis
• Create intentional experiences for customers by building authentic relationships; exceed the customers' expectations by delivering exceptional service
• Drive customer visit goals and increase the number of returning customers; successfully achieve sales goals and business metrics
• Pick & pack orders
• Accurately handle cash transactions by operating the point-of-sale system, maintaining precise register balances in accordance with company cash handling procedures
• Solicit opportunities to contribute to and improve business results daily
• Adhere to all company training and operational standards and procedures
• Adhere to all legislative requirements of cannabis retailers, including federal, state and DCC laws and regulations

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• High school diploma
• Hiring preference will be given to those candidates with open availability
• Open availability is defined as the ability to work all hours required without restrictions, including days, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays

Qualifications

• Physical Demands: Ability to stand and remain on feet for the duration of a scheduled shift — at least 4 hours per shift for part-time roles and up to 8 hours per shift for full-time roles
• Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and twist
• Manual dexterity sufficient to handle and count currency and operate a POS system
