Dispensary Associate-PT (Monaca)

About the role

The Dispensary Associate guides customers through the cannabis purchasing experience, making informed recommendations based on desired outcomes, providing accurate product descriptions, and operating with high accuracy in a fast-paced environment. This is a part-time position working 15-29 hours per week. Must be flexible to work weeknights (3/4pm-9/10pm) and have open availability on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver best-in-class customer experience while maintaining operational integrity and compliance
• Guide customers through sales transactions, offering advice and knowledge as needed
• Ensure the sales floor is stocked, displays and menus are up-to-date, and the store is well maintained
• Fulfill and pack customer orders, moving completed orders to the sales floor for pickup
• Promote a positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant work environment
• Continuously develop product knowledge to offer up-to-date information and advice
• Respond to customer inquiries in-store, online, and over the phone
• Accurately use and maintain the point of sale (POS) system in person and over the phone
• Handle cash accurately, manage customer carts, and ring transactions
• Perform accurate and timely data entry of customer information
• Strive to achieve team and individual performance goals
• Verify proper paperwork, documentation, and required identification for customers
• Execute inventory, visual merchandising, marketing, and other in-store operations as directed
• Report inconsistencies or hazards to Store Leadership
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and inviting store environment
• Complete store opening and closing checklists

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Retail experience preferred; cannabis retail experience a plus
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Basic computer skills; cannabis POS software experience a plus
• Positive attitude, team player mentality, and strong work ethic
• Willingness to learn applicable state and local laws, regulations, and organizational policies
• Must remain compliant with all regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis industry
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Clear and effective communication skills
