Responsibilities

  • Welcome everyone with a friendly attitude, creating a positive dispensary experience.
  • Guide and educate patients and customers in choosing the right medicine and products, providing personalized insights into strains and effects.
  • Proactively interact with customers, guide them through product offerings, and highlight exclusive specials to increase sales opportunities.
  • Enter and access patient records accurately, confirming identities and eligibility to purchase in line with legal and company standards.
  • Represent the company’s brand as a brand ambassador, upholding core values such as respect, diversity, sustainability, research, and service.
  • Adhere to iAnthus' cultural principles of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Accurately handle transactions, receive payments, and record purchases in the Dispensary Management System.
  • Provide patients and customers with informative printed materials to help them make well-informed decisions.
  • Maintain a sales-focused attitude, always looking for opportunities to increase sales and grow business.
  • Work with Dispensary Managers to check product inventory, ensuring a diverse and fresh selection that meets customer needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dispensary area.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must consent to a criminal background check (employment offers are contingent upon successful completion).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering top-notch customer service.
  • Ability to work independently, coordinate multiple tasks, and prioritize work effectively.
  • Reliability and meticulous organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Computer-savvy, with a knack for quickly mastering new software.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn state-specific cannabis laws and regulatory compliance.
  • Comfortable teaching customers about the medicinal and adult-use aspects of cannabis and conducting workshops or info sessions.

Pay

$15/hr

Working Conditions

The employee works in a medical dispensary environment using a computer, telephone, and other office equipment. This is a hands-on, customer-facing position requiring regular interaction with the public in a friendly and helpful manner. The role operates in a high-paced, fast-moving retail environment and may include exposure to fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor A/C, no A/C, motion, and noise.

The position requires scheduling flexibility, including occasional evening, weekend, and holiday work hours. The employee will encounter frequent interruptions and must have strong self-management, time management, and scheduling skills.

The physical demands described are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.

  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time, move around, and clearly communicate.
  • Must be able to move freely around the store.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Often need to use a ladder (up to a 12’ extension) and general hardware tools.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
