About the Role
The Dispensary Associate reports directly to the Dispensary Manager, Retail Operations. This position involves assisting in all daily operations of a dispensary, working in a patient-centric team, and contributing to iAnthus company initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Engage and educate patients in a positive manner
- Absorb and complete patient intake forms accurately and completely
- Assist in qualifying patients for the Verified Financial Hardship (VFH) program
- Maintain compliance with all local and state regulations
- Perform general office tasks such as filing records, operating copy machines, and using email
- Provide feedback to Dispensary General and Assistant Managers on a timely basis
- Maintain proper recordkeeping including patient intake forms, cash handling records, chain of custody documents, and waste disposal logs
- Participate in one-minute meetings at the start of every shift to ensure uniformity in message and goals
- Deliver excellent and compassionate patient services
- Conduct monthly product inventory reviews
- Ensure all patients are greeted with a helpful, pleasant, and compassionate attitude
- Proficient in HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
- Proficient in inventory management and point of sale platform and DPH Virtual Gateway system
- Current on product knowledge and proper dosage
- Ensure all team members maintain current iAnthus policies and procedures as well as all state and local laws and regulations
- Review and update patient educational materials
- Participate in quarterly team meetings
- Review and discuss sales daily and best practices to achieve goals with team members
- Trained on patient services, including patient intake, product knowledge, and proper dosage
- Participate in one-minute meetings at the start of every shift to ensure consistency in message and goals
- Deliver excellent and compassionate patient services
- Represent the iAnthus brand appropriately
- Build relationships with community leaders and trust from neighbors
- Follow and implement iAnthus’s core values, including respect, diversity, sustainability, research, and service
- Maintain the dispensary’s aesthetic according to iAnthus brand, including music selection and daily dispensary cleanliness
- Implement brand sales marketing strategies
Qualifications and Education
- Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation
- Experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services, preferred
- Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math skills
- Computer literate – POS experience is desirable
- High school graduate
- Ability to pass a criminal background check as it pertains to NYS guidelines
Starting Pay Rate
$18/hr
