This role will act as the operation’s customer support system.
Responsibilities
- Administer orders received at the facility for delivery, including prompt updating of customer portals and internal systems.
- Promptly schedule deliveries to the end consumer per client-specific SOPs.
- Route outbound delivery trucks focusing on service, revenue per truck, driver/drive team selection, and dispatch.
- Complete all shipment statuses in the appropriate operating systems and portals, collect PODs, and communicate extra charges to customers per established SOPs.
- Maintain bills of lading, labeling, manifests, pick sheets, load plans, and other necessary documents for planning, loading, and delivery processes.
- Communicate with urgency with all parties, keeping them informed of schedule or delivery issues, answering questions, responding to requests, and identifying and implementing solutions.
- Monitor delivery teams' progress through their routes and schedules, informing or making adjustments as necessary.
- Advise delivery teams on proper actions regarding customer, logistics, or other problems that could affect scheduled deliveries.
- Verify merchandise by matching customer and sales receipt information.
- Resolve customer service issues by identifying and explaining the best solution, taking appropriate action, and following up to ensure complete resolution.
- Prepare quality reports, load-out reports, dispatch logs, tracking logs, and set up manifests.
- Manage exceptions, including late departures or arrivals, breakdowns, in-home service time, missed deliveries, redeliveries, accidents, product or in-home damages, and delivery team illness or injury.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent experience.
- One year of customer service experience preferred.
- Routing, dispatch, and warehouse experience preferred.
Skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, contractors, supervisors, and the general public, requiring courtesy, discretion, and independent judgment.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and reporting skills.
- High energy and motivating skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to safeguard customers’ personal information.
- Detail-oriented, analytical problem-solver with the ability to multi-task in a demanding, high-pressure, high-volume environment.
- Knowledge of relevant policies, practices, procedures, and standards.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with strong follow-through.
Pay
The expected starting pay range for this position is $20.79 - $27.72 per hour. Offers are determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
