Dispatcher - Communications

About the Role

Under the general supervision of the Integrated Services Manager, this position coordinates service requests for Support Services. You will receive telephone requests and determine appropriate actions based on knowledge of Support Services resources and scope of service. Responsibilities include dispatching assignments to various Support Service personnel via a work order system, coordinating patient transports by monitoring requests and directing transporter activities, and providing overall internal and external telecommunication services, including all 711 emergency calls for both Mission Hospital campuses. Additionally, you will coordinate all emergency codes/alerts with respective departments, monitor and respond to both clinical and non-clinical alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate service requests for Support Services.
• Receive and process telephone requests, determining appropriate actions.
• Dispatch assignments to Support Service personnel using a work order system.
• Coordinate patient transports by monitoring requests and directing transporter activities.
• Provide internal and external telecommunication services, including handling 711 emergency calls.
• Coordinate emergency codes/alerts with relevant departments.
• Monitor and respond to clinical and non-clinical alarm systems.

Requirements

• 6 months of experience in customer service, dispatching, or operator functions.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (preferred).
• 1 year of hospital-related PBX or Call Center experience (preferred).

Pay

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.41 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule

This is a part-time, variable shift position.
