Dispatcher

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day route operations and reports to the Operations Manager.
• Communicate with drivers and clients daily.
• Organize and conduct activities to ensure safe, cost-effective, on-time operating performance.
• Tracks and reports sign-in/sign-out times, ensuring routes are timely.
• Communicates service issues to Supervisors and/or Operations Manager as necessary.
• Influences positive employee morale and quality customer service.
• Maintains a clean workspace and monitors daily system performance.
• Analyzes and reviews operating performance.
• Documents all reports and forwards them to appropriate people for resolution.
• Schedules drivers on next business days' routes according to contract requirements and system needs.
• Generates daily reports summarizing job duties performed, including safety issues, operational misfortunes, and drivers' needs.
• Maintains general security of the front desk lobby area and all access points to the building during opening and closing procedures.
• Performs other essential duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• One (1) year previous Dispatcher experience preferred.
• Two (2) years of Customer Service experience preferred.
• Flexible to work shifts on all hours of operation on all days of the year.
• Clear, effective, and efficient communication skills.
• Extensive geographic knowledge of Brigham City, Weber & Davis Counties.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Intermediate or expert knowledge in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
• Experience with Trapeze software.
• Able to execute assignments from supervisors/managers in a timely manner.
• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under stress.
• Receptive to positive on-going training/coaching to improve safety and operational performance.
• Strong moral character, people-oriented, attentive, and maintains a bright positive demeanor even under high pressure/stressful situations.
• Able to demonstrate professional phone manner.

Compensation

$19.45 per hour.
