About the role
American Rock Products, a CRH company, is a dynamic, growth-oriented, national aggregate, asphalt, concrete, and construction family of companies. We are looking for a team member to coordinate daily deliveries with our customers and provide answers and solutions to various customer requests. This role will work with a team to provide top-tier customer service, playing an integral part as we work together to build our communities.
Responsibilities
- Answer customer and driver calls in a timely and professional manner
- Schedule and track orders and deliveries
- Prepare daily schedule for next-day deliveries outlining equipment, personnel, and material needed
- Coordinate deliveries with customers, sales, quality control, operators, and other personnel as required
- Maintain working knowledge of city streets and surrounding areas to assist drivers in locating specific job sites
- Develop a positive rapport with Ready Mix Drivers, Team members, and customers
- Schedule, dispatch, and control the appropriate level of drivers required to satisfy customer demand while maintaining safety and efficiency goals
- Record accurate deliver and product information on order, negotiate delivery times with customers
- Enter daily time for all drivers utilizing a time entry system
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned to meet business needs

- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
- Timely and regular attendance is an expectation and essential function of this position

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment, and effective communication skills.
- Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with all departments and customers on the phone and in person
- Detailed-oriented and thorough in all duties and be able to work extended hours when needed
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows applications, ideally having exceptional typing skills
- Excellent organizational, customer service, and telephone skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a high-stress environment and deal with problems as they arise in a professional and courteous manner
Preferred Qualifications
- One to two years related experience in call center or customer service position preferred
- Trucking related industry experience preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Work Environment
This position is in an office setting and is largely sedentary. However, caution needs to be taken when lifting files, boxes, opening file cabinet drawers, and proper ergonomics should be maintained while working at desk/workstation. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time is required.

Pay
Starting Wage Range: $23.00 - $26.70/hr DOE with potential for overtime.
