A stable, family-owned banking equipment and field service company is seeking an experienced Dispatcher to coordinate work orders, technician schedules, customer communication, parts, inventory, and preventive maintenance from its Duluth office. The Dispatcher plays a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency within a dynamic environment. This position involves managing communications with field technicians, providing customer support, and fostering strong relationships with clients. The Dispatcher is responsible for organizing schedules, tracking inventory, and maintaining databases to ensure that all operational needs are met. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced setting. This role is essential for maintaining the trust and satisfaction of customers while supporting a collaborative team atmosphere.
Dispatcher Responsibilities
- Answer phones and emails in a friendly and professional manner
- Enter work orders into the Work Order management system
- Manage dispatch for field technicians
- Assist technicians in prioritizing calls as needed
- Review Work Order management system for urgent actions
- Compile and place orders for parts
- Track parts ordered and notify technicians upon arrival
- Manage inventory and replenish key parts
- Maintain databases of key information and update regularly
- Support service technicians in preventative maintenance inspections
- Complete required electronic paperwork in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations
Dispatcher Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience as a dispatcher in a repair or similar business
- GED or High School diploma is preferred
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is a must
- Experience dispatching 10-25 technicians per day is preferred
- Salesforce experience is preferred
