Dispatcher

Job Responsibilities

• Answering and responding to inbound calls from company drivers
• Handling inbound and outbound customer phone calls as needed
• Managing and coordinating resources, ensuring efficient and effective responses
• Receiving and relaying information to field personnel
• Daily monitoring of all company trucking routes in multiple terminals
• Updating information systems to accurately reflect dispatched tasks
• Coeordinating with operations team to perform emergency roll-off and trailer services
• Coeordinating inbound load schedule with Long Haul Team
• Gathering documentation of completed services and seeing-through to final billing
• Interfacing with terminal managers & office staff on day-to-day issues
• Scheduling & cooordinating deliveries and shipments of various customer supplies
• Managing records of material inventory at customer sites and internal warehousing

Required Qualifications

• Experience and proficiency in standard logistics software
• Prior experience in a trucking dispatch role preferred
• Emphasis on customer service
• Time management skills
• Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers & employees
