About the role
You’ll work in a fast-paced entertainment environment with a diverse team, contributing to an industry focused on fun. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and service standards in dining areas while adhering to health, safety, and operational policies.
- Adhere to HCCTR and all Food and Beverage Policies
- Demonstrate and exhibit characteristics and behavior in accordance with Property and Departmental Service Guarantees
- Understand and perform opening and closing station requirements
- Stock condiment station(s) with appropriate food, beverage, and paper products; perform product rotation
- Welcome guests with a smile and sincere greeting
- Remove food trays and trash from the dining room; dispose of trash at dumpsters
- Maintain cleanliness of dining room tables, chairs, banquettes, floors, and trash receptacles
- Maintain cleanliness of area’s counter, glass, and brass
- Thank guests and wish them well
- Maintain work station in a clean, safe, and sanitized manner at all times
- Communicate guests’ issues, concerns, or problems to management
- Understand and adhere to all board of health, property, and departmental safety practices
- Maintain valid WV Racing license, Food Handlers, and TIPS certifications as required
- Follow PPE and safety guidance to safeguard yourself, team members, and guests
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; or twelve months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings
- Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission
- Must obtain proper Food Handler Certification
Skills
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, talk, hear, and taste or smell
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Occasionally exposed to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and risk of electrical shock
- Moderate noise level in the work environment

Pay
Initial placement within the salary range is based on relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is part of a competitive Total Rewards package.
