Dishwasher/Steward - $17/hr

About the role

The Steward at Wild Dunes Resort is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, managing inventory, and issuing equipment for banquet and restaurant operations. Responsibilities include washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans, assisting with food and tray preparation, and adhering to safety and hygiene protocols.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand
• Places clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas
• Aids in some food and/or tray preparation, as needed
• Works a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

• Previous stewarding experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
• Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 15 lbs. frequently, up to 25 lbs. occasionally, and up to 75 lbs. occasionally
• Repetitive hand and arm movements, pushing and pulling, and simple grasping frequently; squeezing, overhead reaching, and fine manipulation occasionally

Qualifications

• Must be able to walk, climb into and out of vehicles, and operate a vehicle frequently
• Must be able to twist, bend, squat, and kneel frequently; occasionally climb a ladder
