About the role

As a Dishwasher in the Deli Department, you will perform duties as directed by the Deli Manager and/or Head Chef to ensure the successful operation of the department. You are responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service, professionalism, and compliance with all company policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen inventory quality and quantities
• Set up the hot foods case for the day
• Wash dishes
• Merchandise and maintain prepared foods
• Prepare entrees for hot and cold food displays
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen area
• Cooperate fully with supervisors, department employees, and other personnel
• Perform all duties delegated by the Head Chef
• Maintain established food safety policies
• Be present at your workstation at the start of your shift
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures
• Adhere to the Customer Service Pledge at all times
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and strictly follow the Dress Code policy
• Ensure attendance as essential to department function
• Comply with all policies in the Employee Handbook

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Able to lift 40 pounds
• Able to calculate figures such as pounds and weight increments
• Ability to hear, speak, and understand the spoken word
• Proficient in reading, writing, analyzing, and interpreting English
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and taste or smell
• Regularly required to stand, use full hand and digit functions, reach with hands and arms, and manipulate objects
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distant vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
