Dishwasher - Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe

About the role

Perform all phases of kitchen cleaning to attain safe and sanitary conditions while under the supervision of the Sous Chef and/or F&B Outlet Manager. Exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Responsibilities

• Maintain uniform appearance according to established guidelines.
• Adhere to policies and procedures.
• Know locations of all Golden Nugget outlets and services available to the guests.
• Breakdown, feed, catch and properly sort all china, silverware and glassware as it is brought to the Dish Room.
• Wash pots and pans and properly sort and store them on the pot shelves.
• Wash baseboards, floor drains, hand sinks, tables and cutting boards.
• Clean all walls, ceilings, light fixtures (may require use of stepladder) and report repairs as needed.
• Sweep, mop and wax all floors.
• Haul trash from the kitchen areas to the Trash Room.
• Polish silver, glass and brass in all outlets as needed.
• Clean and maintain dish machines in all outlets.
• Clean all food and beverage service carts, speed racks, double wide racks, food warmers, queen marys and dish dollies.
• Wash kettle pots on hot line as needed.
• Set up all china, glass and silver for all food outlets.
• Clean loading dock bay area with pressure washer.
• Conduct food and beverage inventory of china, glass, silver and linen.
• Inform Sous Chef and/or F&B Outlet Manager of needed supplies.
• Bring all supplies down from the storage areas.
• Assist with maintaining a neat, clean and safe working environment.
• Turnover/Takeover station according to established procedure.
• Complete special projects as requested by Food and Beverage management.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.

Requirements

• Good people skills and a well-groomed appearance.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Working knowledge of point of sales systems.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results.
• Minimum age requirement is 18.

Physical Demands

• Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
• Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.
• Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift.
• Frequently stooping, reaching.

Work Environment

• Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment with occasional hot and cold temperature changes.
• Regular exposure to a smoke-filled environment.
• Work with others in close spaces.
• Moderate to high noise levels.
• Walk/stand on tile, mats, carpet, or cement.

Pay

USD $17.00 - USD $18.00 per hour. This is a non-tipped position.
