DISHWASHER (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)
About the role
Fresh Ideas is seeking immediate full-time and part-time Dishwasher positions at Missouri Southern State University located at 3950 Newman Road, Joplin, MO 64801. Online applications are accepted only. Schedules range from Monday through Friday with varying hours, including weekends, mornings, and evenings. Prior dishwashing experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.
- Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Washes pots, pans, and trays based on assigned procedures.
- Polishes silver using burnishing machine, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth.
- Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
- Ensures compliance with safety procedures and keeps dish area orderly.
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to maintain safety and sanitation standards.
- Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces.
- Removes trash and places it in designated containers.
- Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Helps load and unload supplies and product.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Prior dishwashing experience is preferred but not required.

Pay
$15.00 per hour to $16.00 per hour.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, hours may vary. Weekends, morning, and evenings.
