About the role

This position involves maintaining and sanitizing all food service operations. Key responsibilities include dishwashing, pot washing, floor cleaning, and trash removal.

Responsibilities

• General kitchen and back of house cleanliness, including removing garbage and boxes.
• Pot washing and dishwashing.
• Cleaning maintenance on all kitchen equipment and returning it to its proper place.
• Following the direction of the lead steward at all times.
• Transports food from the kitchen to the buffet.
• Aids in receiving and putting food products away.
• Aids buffet attendants and servers in replenishing clean dishes and silverware.
• Wears appropriate uniform, including a white shirt, checkered or black pants, apron, hair net, slip-resistant shoes, name badge, and gaming badge.
• Handles chemicals according to Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Communicates effectively with others and complies with all company and departmental rules and regulations.
• Provides excellent guest service to both guests and internal clients.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive areas and information as per the ACGC Access Matrix Signatory Ability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of related experience required.
• Must be able to obtain a Riverside County Health Department card within one week of employment.
• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, lift, and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds intermittently.
• Must be able to use hand dexterity to operate office equipment such as a computer keyboard, calculator, and multi-line telephone.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

• Stand, move, and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ miles, climbing stairs, and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift.
• May be subjected to a smoke-filled environment.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but can escalate when located in the casino environment.
• Must be able to grasp, bend, lift, and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds intermittently.
• Must have sufficient hand dexterity to use office equipment including a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment, and multi-line telephone.
