Ecumen Seasons at Apple Valley consists of 106 independent living and assisted living rental apartment homes, as well as 28 additional residences for seniors requiring memory care services.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes, glassware, flatware, pots/pans using dishwasher or by hand.
• Properly operates the 3-compartment sink.
• Maintains kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean, sanitized, and orderly condition.
• Uses proper chemicals for all cleaning tasks.
• Uses proper PPE for chemical use.
• Performs opening and closing side work including sweeping and scrubbing floors, cleaning dish storage area and surrounding areas.
• Reports any sanitation or janitorial issues immediately to appropriate party.
• Aids to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times.
• Empties and cleans trash receptacles and places it in designated pickup areas.
• Partners effectively with others in a demanding and changing environment, supports all team members within the community as directed by the leadership team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 15 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident’s Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Dishwashing/Commercial kitchen experience.
• Previous experience working with seniors.

Skills

• Effective communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Physical stamina for cleaning tasks.

Pay

The targeted pay range for this job is $16.50 to $19.50 per hour.

Schedule

Position will pick up shifts week to week based on openings.
