Job Summary
Brooklyn Bowl Nashville is the ultimate night out, integrating premier music, 19 lanes of bowling, a bar featuring locally crafted beers, and food by the acclaimed Blue Ribbon restaurant group. The Dishwasher position involves performing various kitchen, cleaning, and storage activities such as dish washing, pot washing, general and equipment cleaning, storage, and rotation of food and supplies.
Responsibilities
- Perform various kitchen, cleaning, and storage activities such as dish washing, pot washing, general and equipment cleaning, storage, and rotation of food and supplies.
- Handle all food, storage, and cleaning activities in accordance with company, federal, state, and local procedures and standards.
- Load and unload dish washing machines.
- Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china).
- Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately.
- Set up workstations before meal prep begins.
- Maintain sufficient clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, especially during peak hours.
- Check washing machines' operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues.
- Remove garbage regularly.
- Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor.
- Ensure a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Dishwasher in fine dining, hospitality, and/or casual dining restaurant.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Standing or in stationary position for long periods of time, lifting up to 70 lbs., and bending, climbing, or working in confined spaces.
- Written and verbal skills for effective communication in English.
- Organizational and time management skills and good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- State issued Health Card.
- Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines.
- Follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed.
- Attention to detail and sanitation rules.
- Availability to work in shifts, during weekends and evenings.
- Occasionally sitting, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing.
- Good hand/eye coordination and mental alertness.
- Concentration within numerous distractions.
