Dishwasher (BELL GARDENS, CA. 90201)

About the role

Join our kitchen team at Parkwest Bicycle Casino as a Dishwasher, an integral part of the Food & Beverage department. You’ll ensure all dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, glasses, stemware, and other kitchen utensils are properly cleaned, sanitized, and safely stored.

Responsibilities

• Wash pots, pans, glassware, flatware, cups, glasses, and other dishes and containers used in food preparation and service.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, walk-ins, freezers, drains, floor mats, grease traps, and garbage disposals.
• Clean cooking equipment, including ovens, deep fryers, stoves, hoods, broilers, salamanders, griddles, and oriental equipment.
• Empty and sanitize trash cans.
• Operate dishwashing machines.
• Maintain overall cleanliness of kitchen areas, dish room, storeroom, bake shop, deli, corridors, and dock area.
• Provide Banquets with equipment and assist the Chef and Sous Chef during banquet functions.
• Ensure proper storage of chemicals and kitchen supplies.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must pass mandatory screening, including a background check and drug test.
• Must possess a California Food Handler Card.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment, utensils, and procedures.
• Able to work varied shifts, including weekends and evenings, and adapt to flexible schedules.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task effectively.
• Able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 50 pounds.
• Able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, G.E.D, or equivalent preferred but not required.
• One year of experience in a kitchen of comparable quality preferred but not required.

Pay

USD $17.00 per hour.
