Job Summary
A Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning dishes in a food service environment to ensure that the kitchen has a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans, and glasses. Their duties include prioritizing loads of different types of crockery and kitchenware, hand-washing dishes, loading the dishwasher and placing dishes to dry.
Qualifications
- Must be 16 years old and meet any other state age or labor requirements.
- No one under the age of 18 may operate, clean, adjust or touch a slicer a mixer.

- Nature and Scope of Position
Essential Functions
- Sort, scrape, wash dishware, flatware, and kitchen cooking utensils in a timely manner.
- Maintain stock of clean dishes and flatware for dining room and cook 's line.
- Exhibit integrity in all actions by meeting company standards in appearance, grooming, security, and sanitation.
- Always shows up in a clean apron, clean shirt, clean pants, and non-slip shoes.
- Wash, rinse and sanitize pots and pans.
- Dispose of trash into outside dumpster and clean trash cans.
- Complete opening and/or closing duties.
- Maintain a safe and clean working area.
- Assist management with receiving and storing food items and supplies.
- Maintain exterior building including cleaning sidewalks, landscaping, and parking lots.
- Enthusiastically acknowledge guests with the company's five-foot rule.
Certifications or Licenses
- Not required.
Skills and Knowledge
- Must be able to follow dish machine instructions and operations safely.
- Must be able to use a computer for timekeeping purposes.
- Uses sound judgement in a day-to-day decision by applying the company's vision, values and culture.
Education And Experience
- Successful completion of required training materials, including watching videos and completing workbooks.
