Responsibilities
- Wash and clean dishes, pots, and pans at the Lodge or The Airport Rooms.
- Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of plateware and serviceware at the hotel.
- Restock dishes in the proper location once cleaned.
- Check in and out with management at the beginning and end of your shift.
- Comply with food safety regulations.
- Maintain professional appearance, manners, and communication with guests and staff at all times while on-site.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in work areas.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in good, safe working condition and report any needed repairs to management.
- Keep abreast of and comply with safety, emergency procedures, and OSHA requirements.
- Attend relevant meetings.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED, or relevant trade school training.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced meal service environment.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Knowledge of seasonal and local ingredient availability and trends.
- Properly account for tools, equipment, and materials.
Working Conditions
- Rotating shift schedule (1st and 2nd shift) with changes to days off.
- Work in multiple environments within the property, some of which may be restrictive in size.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
- Lift up to fifty (50) pounds daily; anything over fifty (50) pounds requires a two-person lift.
- Stand, walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach, and stretch for up to eight (8) hours per day.
- Handle heavy containers of hot food and liquids; work with hot ovens, grills, and stovetops.
- Exposure to climate variations typical of a commercial kitchen environment.
