Responsibilities
- Wash flatware, tableware, glassware, pots and pans, using dishwasher or by hand.
- Place all clean dishes, utensils or cooking equipment in storage area or on supplied shelves on the line.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dish area.
- Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated trash areas, replacing bags and washing out cans when needed.
- Clean and prepare various foods for cooking or serving, instructed by the manager.
- Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
- Keep all equipment clean and in good working condition.
- Sweep the parking lot daily and maintain the parking lot in all weather conditions.
- Handle, store and rotate all products properly.
- Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
- Closes the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for dishwasher station.
- Assist others in closing the kitchen.
- Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty.
Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).
