Position Summary The Dishwasher plays a critical role in supporting the daily operations of a high-volume corporate café, production kitchen, and culinary innovation lab. This position ensures all cookware, utensils, dishes, and food preparation equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and available to support café service, large-scale food production, and product development activities. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently. Wash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store dishes, pots, pans, utensils, sheet pans, smallwares, and culinary equipment. Support both daily café service and the innovation kitchen by ensuring equipment is available for chefs and culinary teams. Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish room, pot sink, storage areas, front of the house, and surrounding kitchen spaces. Remove trash, recycling, and compost throughout the shift while maintaining a clean back-of-house environment. Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces, equipment, shelving, and workstations following food safety standards. Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing kitchen supplies as needed. Restock clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout the facility. Assist culinary staff with basic kitchen support tasks during slower periods, including ingredient preparation or packaging support when requested. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures, including proper chemical handling and PPE requirements. Support special events, culinary demonstrations, tastings, and innovation sessions by ensuring clean equipment is readily available. Communicate equipment maintenance or sanitation concerns to supervisors promptly This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience & Skills Previous experience in a dishwasher, kitchen steward, foodservice, or custodial role is preferred but not required. Experience working in a commercial kitchen, restaurant, café, catering operation, or corporate dining environment is a plus. Familiarity with commercial dishwashing equipment and cleaning procedures is beneficial. Preferred Education High School Diploma or GED Compensation/Benefits The hourly range for this role is $16.84–$25.25, with a midpoint of $21.05. Offers are typically made between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on skills, experience, and internal equity. In rare cases, highly qualified candidates may receive an offer above the midpoint; however, offers at the maximum of the range are not customary. The salary range posted represents the low and high end of OSI’s salary range for this position. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, experience, and performance. Base salary is one component of OSI’s overall total rewards package. Work Environment Frequent exposure to hot water, steam, cleaning chemicals, wet floors, and varying kitchen temperatures. Regular interaction with chefs, culinary product developers, café staff, and support teams in a collaborative environment. Personal protective equipment (PPE), including slip-resistant footwear and other required safety gear, must be worn in accordance with company policies. Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 50 pounds Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
