Dishwasher

Essential Functions

• Cleans and sanitizes dishes
• Collects carts with patient trays from hospital floors
• Cleans and disinfects assigned areas including dining areas using department cleaning procedures
• Uses cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards
• Understands procedures and properly disposes of infectious waste and trash
• Operates and maintains assigned equipment (e.g. commercial dishwasher) according to established procedures

Qualifications

• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work (required)
• One more year of experience in food service or housekeeping (preferred)
• Demonstrates ability to read color coded labels and chemicals as well as following written and verbal directions
• Demonstrate ability to operate housekeeping equipment and dish machine (preferred)

Physical Requirements

• Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs
• Occasional interaction with customers that requires employee to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
• Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. Includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use
• Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
• Remain standing for long periods of time to perform work
• Tolerate extremes in temperature such as performing work around dish machines and tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals

Pay and Schedule

Pay Rate: Based on Experience ($17.43 - $22.29)
Work Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours per week
Work Location: Intermountain Health Park City Hospital, Work City Park City, Work State Utah
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

About the Role

Responsible for dishwashing and other general housekeeping tasks. Maintains the Culinary Department in a sanitary, safe, and clean condition that meets hospital, Health Department and Joint Commission standards.
